The Golden Rule

To unlock the full power of biochar, always pair raw biochar with nutrients before soil application so it feeds your crops from day one. Proper depth placement and right-product pairing ensure a permanent upgrade to your soil structure.

Activation / Charging

Raw biochar needs to be “charged” or mixed with nutrients (compost, manure, or liquid bio-fertilizer) before soil application so it absorbs nutrients rather than temporarily pulling them from the soil.

Soil Depth

Incorporate into the top 4–6 inches of soil (the root zone) for optimal microbial activity and water retention.

One-Time vs. Seasonal

Pure biochar is a long-lasting soil infrastructure upgrade (lasts for decades), whereas Vermicompost and FOM provide seasonal organic matter and bio-available nutrients.
